Icario is in Montepulciano, in a corner of Tuscany bordering Umbria, a corner that still maintains its authentic nature and uncontaminated beauty. It is a territory where there are no large factories, but small shops, artisans and a culture of hospitality.

Icario is one of the leading producers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Its history began in 1999 and has always been marked by a family passion, the search for quality, a love of art, design and respect for the territory.

The grapes from the single plots are fermented separately under the best conditions and the wine ages in oak barrels, mid-sized casks and barriques. Every decision made by the winery at each production stage is based on achieving maximum quality. Vinegrowing currently covers 20 hectares at a height of 450 to 550 metres above sea level and is mainly devoted to the Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese) variety, the main element of most Tuscan wines.
